In our present lives, due to the high levels of stress, so many individuals of every age are suffering with their mental health. Our mental health is a vital part in living a quality life. The first step is always the most difficult in anything we do, especially when it comes to letting others know we need help. That first step towards positive mental health involves the realization, that you may need another person to come along side of you, to assist in leading the way forward.
I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy that includes: CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused-CBT (in children and adolescents), relaxation & mindfulness training. I am Gottman Level 1 certified to work with couples and with families using Systems Theory.
A strong therapeutic relationship between counselor and client is essential for achieving positive change in mental health, as difficult as it may be, it is up to you to make that first step. I am here to offer support and encouragement for you to reach your goals, and to live the life you were meant to live.
